HEAD Supershape e-Original + PRD 12 GW

As the name suggests, the e-Original skis are intended to be the original and first version in the SuperShape series. They feature a sidecut that is the narrowest in the series under the bindings, but they also have a wide tip and good width at the tail. This allows the skis to make both large and small turns. At the same time, the wide tip also makes it a little easier for the ski to float on loose snow, which can be especially common later in the day. This means you can push this pair of skis to the limit all day long. The skis are designed for intermediate to expert skiers who tackle a wide variety of conditions on the slopes.

Once again this year, Head has produced the SuperShape series with graphene technology, which allows for the use of a stronger and heavier material in other parts of the ski. This results in a more powerful ski with a harmonious distribution of flex, as well as smoother and faster edge engagement. The SuperShape e-Original is equipped with the new Superflex PR Base Low Plate, which provides rebound underfoot, as well as ERA 3.0 Speed Rocker, which incorporates the best of rocker technology.

As a brand-new feature, Head has incorporated EMC (Energy Management Circuit) into many of its models. EMC is an electronic vibration-damping system that reduces negative vibrations. When the ski is in motion and under pressure, and begins to flex and vibrate, kinetic energy is collected and transformed into electrical energy within the ski’s core. This energy is used to absorb negative vibrations and instability—which often occur at higher speeds—thereby providing a smoother and more stable skiing experience regardless of conditions.
